I would say what the Coffee Party is doing isn't really all that new a concept. I attended their first meeting in DC this weekend and what they are up to is old-fashioned, grassroots organizing on the local and community level but on a nationwide scale. I say anything that gets ordinary Americans engaged and involved in the political process and which makes politics exciting and relevant -- I am all for it! And the focus on calm, rational discussion of politics, I think, is this group's primary appeal to most people who join.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('513','Liberal Arts Dude','I would say what the Coffee Party is doing isn\'t really all that new a concept.
