San Francisco engagement – must close Thursday, January 14, 2010

What’s the Matter with Kansas?” opened on Friday, Jan 1, 2010 for a week-long engagement at the Landmark Lumiere Theatre in San Francisco. Filmmakers Laura Cohen and Joe Winston will attend both evening screenings on the first two nights to take questions from the audience.  UPDATE: due to a hugely successful opening weekend, the movie will movie to the Opera Plaza Theater on Friday, Jan 8, 2010.  Thank you, San Francisco!

Further update – the engagement at Opera Plaza MUST CLOSE on Thursday, January 14, 2010.

The San Francisco Chronicle calls the movie, “A fascinating and, really, heartbreaking doc… What’s beautiful about the movie is its lack of judgment by the filmmakers. They just let their subjects – good people whom you like – talk. Draw your own conclusions.”
